Full Frame Telephoto Cine DS Lens

The Rokinon 135mm T2.2 Cine DS Lens for Canon has been carefully designed for professional videographers & cinematographers. This lens is solid and compact, making it travel friendly and easy to use. It features industry grade de-clicked apertures & geared focus rings. Focusing scales are marked on both sides of the lens and the glass is Ultra Multi-Coated (UMC). Rokinon’s UMC coating enables consistent color rendition from lens to lens and also minimizes flaring & ghosting. The included removable petal shaped lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box. The lens is threaded to accept a 77mm size filter. This lens opens up to T2.2, allowing for low-light shooting and for creating an extremely shallow depth of field. The rounded 9-blade Aperture allows for creating soft, beautiful bokeh.

Lens Construction

The Rokinon Cine DS 135mm T2.2 Lens for Canon is constructed of 11 high performance glass elements in 7 groups of which has 1 High Reflective Index (ED). All of its elements are Ultra Multi-Coated (UMC).

Full Frame

Can properly cover full frame sensors equivalent in size to 35mm film (36 x 24mm) as well as smaller APS-C and MFT size sensors.

Low Light

A Large aperture lens design that gathers more light for superior low light results and enables shallow depth of field imaging.

De-Clicked Aperture

Allows for smooth, seamless and silent adjustment of aperture settings.

Circular Aperture

Utilizes extra aperture blades for a more rounded shape to enhance Bokeh.

Prime Lenses

Prime lenses are typically sharper than zoom lenses. They are less of a compromise. They don’t require the extra glass that moves in order to zoom. As a result, you get a better quality photograph due to less diffraction, which increases with the higher number of lens elements inside (as in the case of zoom lenses).

The prime lens gathers more light as a direct result of the wider aperture, thus increasing the general quality of the image in low light.

Fixed focal length lenses generally have a smaller number of elements inside and no moving elements (except for focus, of course). It means that the amount of distortion is significantly smaller when compared to the focal length equivalent of zoom lenses.

Primes are significantly smaller in size when compared to zoom lenses, thus more suitable for travel and packing. And since they are smaller, they tend to weigh less and wear you down less.
